Seven Hours After Violet, the new heavy metal band led by System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, have announced their debut album.
Set for release on October 11 via Sumerian Records imprint 1336 Records, the self-titled LP follows the release of the band’s debut single ‘Paradise’, which arrived in June.
As well as SOAD bassist Odadjian, Seven Hours After Violet also features Left To Suffer’s Taylor Barber, Scarypoolparty’s Alejandro Aranda and Morgoth and Josh Johnson of Winds of Plague fame.
News of their new project lands alongside the release of brand-new single ‘Radiance’, which you can have a listen to via the video below.
Speaking on the announcement of the band’s debut full-length, as well as the two singles that have so far preceded it, Shavo has shared:
“This album is the culmination of years of creative exploration. With Seven Hours After Violet I wanted to return to my roots in heavy music but also bring something entirely new to the table.
“‘Radiance’ and its precursor, ‘Paradise’, are but a small glimpse of the intensity, musical diversity and emotion that run through this album.
“We can’t wait for everyone to hear it in full and to bring these songs to life on stage at our first live performance at Mayhem Fest.”
