Although this year’s “Dancing With The Stars” may be over, Sharna Burgess has proven that the friendship and bond of the show’s cast have gone beyond it.
Their love for one another shone through when the crew turned up to celebrate thanksgiving together in ‘DWTS’ style. And Burgess has the perfect picture to prove they had a good time.
Sharna Burgess Appreciates Her TV Family For Their Gift Of Friendship
Despite not twirling in the ballroom this year, Burgess has worked on the dance competition show for so long that most of the cast members have become like family to her. Thus, it was an easy decision for her to turn up as part of the audience to cheer her friends on during the live show and ultimately spend Thanksgiving with them.
The Australian dancer shared an Instagram image that included her and her husband, Brian Austin Green, alongside her co-stars such as current champ Mark Ballas and his wife BC Jean Ballas, co-host Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife Angela, Derek Hough, Emma Slater, Gleb Savchenko, Daniella Karagach Pashkova, Sasha Farber, and Britt Steward.
“So grateful for yesterday and getting to share it with these special people. … Thank you @mrsangelaribeiro1 and @therealalfonsoribeiro for always hosting and opening your home to us over the years. This year felt extra special,” Burgess began under the sweet picture.
The 37-year-old went on to highlight her gratitude for her personal experiences, whether it was the good, the bad, or the ugly. As for the bond she built with her castmates after leaving most of her family behind in Australia to follow her dancer dreams, she wrote:
“I have a beautiful big family, I have a healthy happy and oh so chunky beautiful boy, a man I love beyond measure, my mum moved her whole life here to share it with me, and friends like the ones in this photo that have been my family for years now. Some decades. People that gave me my sense of belonging, community and connection when my family was half a world away. A show that became home and was the place i grew up. In front of all of you reading this. So thank you for all of it. And I can’t wait for more of it.”
Fans loved the photo because it made them happy to confirm that the “DWTS” cast got along so well in real life. “I have watched the show for years and it is so sweet to see the relationships you all have with each other outside the show,” one ecstatic fan commented.
Burgess had previously worried viewers when she announced her exit from “DWTS” in September. The Blast shared that the doting mother opted to refocus her gaze on spending time with her son, Zane Walker Green.
The mom-of-one admitted that some long conversations and thinking about the right course of action led to her non-participation in the show’s 31st season. Although it was a “hard” decision to back out from the just-concluded season, thinking about the time spent away from her son and the other times spent on travel, prep, makeup, and hair, made her realize a few things.
One such thing was that she had to be with her kid “in the moment” and “live and love” those moments regardless of the magic and beauty of “DWTS” season 31. Luckily, the dancer planned to be on the show “in some capacity,” declaring that her body was a hundred percent competent, fit, and strong.
The Ballroom Dancer’s Husband Gushes Over Their Love
Burgess and Green basked in their eternal love as they marked the two-year anniversary of their first meeting last month. Per The Blast, the “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” actor set the tone for the celebration with a heartwarming Instagram dump.
The TV personality’s dump featured a picture that featured his partner, Zane, and three of his children from previous relationships, lying together in bed. Green wrote in the caption:
“October 16th 2 years ago was a day like any other day, but I made plans to meet someone new for coffee. My god am I thankful every single day for that. You are a light in my life, my other kids lives, and the most amazing person I have ever met.”
He concluded that the life they share was better than anything he could have imagined.
