Shannon Beador Speaks Out About Ex-boyfriend’s Lawsuit
Beador appeared on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” on Monday, where she dived into the alleged loan drama and how Janssen created a public spectacle out of a simple situation. Recalling how she got served by the lawsuit papers, the 60-year-old said:
“It was about a month ago. I got a letter saying, ‘You need to come up with a payment plan to pay this money back.’ I offered to pay John the exact amount that he wanted, but he turned the deal down.”
The reality TV star claimed that Janssen refused to receive the payments “because he didn’t want to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement.” The deal is a standard procedure in most settlements as it stops both parties from talking badly about each other.

Because he refused to cooperate, Beador felt like her “hands are tied” in the matter, and she couldn’t help but dread that the attorney fees would “surpass the amount of money he was seeking.”

The Reality Star Refuses To Back Down Without A Fight
Despite worrying about how much the legal battle will cost her, Beador stressed that she couldn’t back down without a fight. She doubled down on her need for a non-disparagement agreement, saying:
“What am I supposed to do? Say, ‘Here’s all this money that you claim that I owe you, and go ahead. Say whatever you want about me.’ No.”
She added, “My attorney said I can’t let you do that, so I have to now go to trial and, you know, that’s a lot.” In his lawsuit, Janssen claimed he loaned Beador $75,000 for a facelift; however, she denied this claim.
The reality TV star revealed that her ex-boyfriend lent her money two times during their relationship, but there was never an official agreement. Also, she claimed she never asked for $75,000 for a facelift.

Shannon Beador Claims She Paid Janssen’s Bills
While Janssen wants his ex to cough up the money she collected from him during their relationship, Beador, on the other hand, didn’t drag him to court over her money. According to the Bravolebrity, she spent a significant sum on her ex-boyfriend.
At the beginning of their relationship, she claimed there were several occasions when she paid for things like Janssen’s hotel bills and airfare. She noted that these situations “equated to me giving him money,” yet he never paid her back.
“Sometimes he’d say, ‘Oh, can your stylist pull some stuff for me, and then I’ll pay you back?’ and then, yeah, he wouldn’t,” Beador recalled. She noted that he made her feel comfortable paying his bills with his sweet declarations of happily-ever-after, saying:

“At the very beginning of the relationship, he said, ‘You’re my future. You’re my person. You’re my future.’ That’s what he said, and I thought, ‘Yeah.’ I felt this comfort with him right away, and I thought we were going to be together forever.”
John Janssen Allegedly Gave Her Over $30,000
Although Beador denied asking for $75,000 for a facelift, she confessed that she received over $30,000 for the procedure. However, Janssen allegedly offered to give her the money when she was stressed about her finances.
The 60-year-old thanked him for his generosity at the time; however, she claimed that no formal agreement was made. She also said that she found it suspicious that Janssen didn’t ask for the money when they broke up in November 2022.
When the podcast host, Lewis, asked if she thought the lawsuit might be influenced by Janssen’s new relationship with her RHOC co-star, Alexis Bellino. Beador couldn’t help but highlight the coincidences.

“I’ve had two lawsuits. They both have Bellino around it. Interesting, isn’t it? A little bit,” she noted. “I’m just saying, no. I’m just saying it is, I mean, very coincidental.” She added, “I don’t know if she had anything to do with it or not. I really don’t know.”
Inside The Promissory Fraud Lawsuit
In the complaint, he claimed he loaned the Bravo star $75,000 for a facelift. He recalled she collected the sum on two occasions in 2022, first $40,000 on Jan. 23 and $35,000 on May 20.
Janssen alleged that she agreed to pay back the loan with interest; however, she failed to do so despite multiple requests in 2023 and 2024. Therefore, he was forced to file the lawsuit to recover the total amount, plus accrued interest, and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
