With SNL’s 50th anniversary celebration now in the rearview mirror, the show is looking ahead to new episodes in March.
Comedian Shane Gillis has been announced as the host for the March 1st episode, marking his second stint in just the last year. He’ll be joined by musical guest Tate McRae, who will also be making her sophomore appearance on the show.
The following week, Lady Gaga will pull double duty as both host and musical guest on the show’s March 8th episode. Gaga previously hosted SNL way back in 2013, while she has served as the musical guest on four occasions. This past weekend, Gaga appeared at SNL’s 50th anniversary concert, where she dueted with Andy Samberg on The Lonely Island’s “Dick in a Box,” and sang “Shallow.” Gaga’s appearance on SNL’s March 8th episode comes one day after the release of her new album, MAYHEM.
Gaga is the third SNL host to pull double duty as musical guest in Season 50, following Charli XCX and Timothée Chamalet.
