Nearly 20 years after the single’s release in 2006, Shakira appeared just as spry with her signature dance moves. Wearing a red laced dress, the Colombian pop star kicked off her performance with belly dancing before being joined by Wyclef, who delivered his feature verse and ad-libs on the classic track.
“Hips Don’t Lie” was originally released in February 2006 as part of a reissue of Shakira’s 2005 album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 that June, becoming the first No. 1 hit for both Shakira and Jean.
