Gomez posted a gorgeous carousel featuring her sparkling diamond ring to announce the couple’s engagement, captioned, “Forever begins now.” Blanco commented, “hey wait… that’s my wife.” Blanco got down on one knee and planned the most adorable Taco Bell picnic to pop the question, complete with a wicker basket and all.
Friends and fans totally lost it, showing the happy couple all the love and excitement. Taylor Swift commented, “yes I will be the flower girl,” while Cardi B wrote, “Waiiiitttt hold on [heart emojis],” and Lily Collins penned, “Ahhhhhhhh yes yes yes!! Best news ever. When It Comes To Wedding Planning, the Couple Is Taking Things “One Day at a Time”
Although the Mr. and Mrs. to-be are super excited about their wedding plans, they’ve been prioritizing finishing up their LP, I Said I Love You First, which drops on March 21. The couple feels this LP depicts their love perfectly.
Blanco shared with Rolling Stone, “I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head.” He added, “We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people. We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring.”

Their LP, I Said I Love You First, Is an Incredibly Special, Top Priority
Gomez shared in the same interview, “I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world…That’s my main focus right now, at least.” She added, “That’s the most intimate I’ve ever been in a studio. We did everything from home, and we created it with people that we love.”
The Only Murders in the Building star revealed that the entire project encapsulates Blanco’s stories, blended with her stories. “They have meanings that are really just personal to both of us. So one song could actually mean two different things. And I think it was just really cute,” she said.
The lovebirds are literally making beautiful music together. One thing we know for sure: stay tuned, because the wedding plans will be made, and Gomez will be an absolutely stunning bride.
