SELENA Gomez and her husband-to-be, Benny Blanco, took out a whopping $22.75 million loan when purchasing their new marital home in Beverly Hills, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
Selena, 32, and producer Benny Blanco, 37, snapped up a $35 million Spanish-style estate in December, shortly before announcing their engagement.
The grand property includes a main residence with seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
It has two guesthouses, a library, home theater, and a private gym, according to property documents.
The grounds also boast a glass greenhouse solarium, a pool and lush manicured gardens.
The deal was one of the area’s priciest sales in 2024 and the home was once owned by ‘The Hangover’ and ‘The Joker’ director Todd Phillips.
Property filings seen by The U.S. Sun show Selena and Benny bought the home under an LLC which is linked to their separate homes in Hollywood and Encino.
They took out a huge mortgage for more than $22 million with BMO Bank, N.A., and have until January 1, 2055 to pay it back.
PROPERTY PILE
Many wealthy stars, including The Kardashians, take out big loans when purchasing properties to maintain liquidity and invest that capital elsewhere.
Selena and Benny’s estate is described in previous listings as being a “rare and exceptional double lot” that spans nearly an acre.
The home purchase comes ahead of the release of their first joint album, I Said I Love You First, which will be released on March 21.
Selena and Benny are believed to have already moved into their new home but have not offloaded their own properties.
The pop star still owns a home worth $6 million in Encino which has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
She bought the 11,483-square-foot property back in 2020 for $4,895,000 and it is not on the market.
Situated on .87 acres, the home was custom-built by musician Tom Petty, who died in 2017, and his first wife, Jane Benyo, in 1989.
It’s perfect for a celebrity wanting privacy as it is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac and is hidden from the street behind a long gated driveway.
It has multiple stories and offers hidden passageways and secret panic rooms for extra security.
Selena has her own yoga studio, a massage room, a gym, a sunken media room and a music studio to record her pop songs.
I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head.”

Meanwhile, Benny also has his own luxury home, worth $10 million, in the sought-after Bird Streets area of the Hollywood Hills.
The five-bed, six-bath property, bought in 2019 for $9,155,000, is described online as a “breath-taking traditional estate.”
The home, built in 1939, appeared in Architectural Digest, and referenced his guesthouse-turned-movie theater, “outfitted with crimson velvet-tufted walls and the candy bar of Blanco’s childhood fantasies.”
His living room at the kooky home also has a large gold velvet sofa covered in stuffed animals.
TAKING THEIR TIME
Selena and Benny are enjoying being engaged and releasing music together, but they will not be rushing to get married.
Benny told Rolling Stone this week, “I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head.
“We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people. We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring.
Selena chimed in, “Also, I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world. That’s my main focus right now, at least.”
Benny also told the outlet he was “so sure” he was going to marry the singer.
He said, “I just knew. It’s just a very different feeling. I know when Sel wakes up, she’s thinking in her head, ‘How can I make this day as good as I can for Benny?’
“And I know I’m waking up and saying, ‘How can I make this day as good for Sel?’ We’re just thinking about each other.”
