Around the time that Rodin was conceived, Dickinson was in a relationship with Sylvester Stallone. But, since they weren’t exclusive, the couple went through DNA tests to confirm the paternity of Rodin, which made headlines at the time. Stallone was determined to not be Rodin’s biological father. Dickinson later opened up about the situation in her book No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World’s First Supermodel.
Rodin talked about learning the identity of her actual father, Michael Birnbaum, when she was seven years old in an Instagram post about the passing of NBA player Kobe Bryant.
“Meeting my Dad at age 7 was unconventional, awkward and surreal. I’ve picked up a lot from my dad but one of his first lessons was introducing me to the world of Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers,” Rodin wrote.
She continued, “Anyway, my dad and I connected quickly, but many of our first memories were made either at Staples [Center] or on the couch ferociously cheering for number 8…and then it was number 24.”
Rodin is an actor, who, since 2019, has appeared in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, The Big Show Show, and Miracle Workers. She also voiced a character on Family Guy.
The aspiring star sometimes posts about her time on sets on her Instagram account. For instance, in 2021, she posted a picture of herself on the set of Miracle Workers with Steve Buscemi.

For instance, in 2020, Dickinson told her followers to check out Rodin on The Big Show Show. She also posted a photo of her child getting her makeup done and captioned it, “my gorgeous daughter.”
As for Rodin, she has shared some of her mom’s old modeling photos, and in a 2020 post for Dickinson’s birthday, she posted pictures she found online of them that were taken when she was a toddler “My birthday gift for my mom is this Instagram post,” she wrote. “Happy birthday @janicedickinson (ps wtf I found these in an embarrassingly deep google image dive) LOVE YOU!”
