This week’s episode of Saturday Night Live delivered plenty of laugh out loud moments, but none was funnier than a spoofing of Beavis and Butt-Head starring Ryan Gosling and SNL cast member Mikey Day.
Gosling played Beavis, complete with a blond frow, while Day embodied Butt-Head. The setting of the sketch was a televised town hall, in which Heidi Gardner moderated a conversation about AI with Kenan Thompson. Beavis and Butt-Head sat in the audience with looks of befuddlement.
Understandably, virtually every participant of the sketch — including Gosling, Day, Heidi Gardner, Kenan Thompson, and Chloe Fineman — could barely keep it together. Gosling and Gardner, in particular, laughed over many of their lines.
There are certain SNL sketches that you know, almost instantly, are instant classics. This was one of them.
