Strijd revealed some of her diet and exercise secrets to HollywoodLife. One of her main goals is to be consistent. “I’m trying to be in the best shape all year round,” she says. “It’s easier. It’s about balance, so I don’t feel like going super hard at one super moment.” “Forget past memories of gym class and focus on how well you’ll tone your body with push-ups, crunches, squats, lunges and leg lifts,” says the Cleveland Clinic. “This is the least expensive way to exercise. All you need are comfy workout clothes. You can lie on a clean towel or purchase a yoga mat for as little as $7 in stores.”
One of Strijd’s biggest wellness secrets is staying hydrated. “I also drink a lot of water because it just helps you to get everything going and move every day,” she explains to HollywoodLife. “Even if it’s a walk.” “Experts recommend drinking roughly 11 cups of water per day for the average woman and 16 for men. And not all of those cups have to come from plain water; for example, some can come from water flavored with fruit or vegetables (lemons, berries, or orange or cucumber slices), or from coffee or tea,” says Harvard Health.
Strijd tells HollywoodLife that she loves to practice yoga. “I’ll try to do it three days a week. It really depends on my work schedule. I just uploaded my YouTube video on how to lengthen your legs.”
When Strijd is prepping for a big job, she says that she focuses on exercise rather than diet. “I don’t really cut out any food,” she revealed to HollywoodLife. “I workout more often so I really need food to build some muscle. I definitely amp up my workouts and workout around 5 days a week for one and a half hours a day.”
Strijd revealed some of her wellness secrets to ELLE. She says that she is starting to cut things out of her diet. “Lately, I’ve been trying to eat less meat,” she says. “It’s been something I’ve been trying to do. I think it has certain health benefits for me.”
