Rod Stewart is catching heat for using AI-generated video of Ozzy Osbourne and other dead music icons during concerts on his One Last Time tour. While on has to assume it’s being done as some sort of tribute to fallen legends, the way it’s being done has left many fans feeling like it is in very poor taste.
The dead music icons are being shown in a video during Rod Stewart’s performance of his 1988 hit single “Forever Young.” Had the musicians been shown on the big screen in classic photos or working with Stewart himself it would have shocked no one. However, according to Stereogum, Rod Stewart didn’t stop there.
What was Rod Stewart thinking?
Instead of just some sort of standard memorial being displayed on screen, Stewart has been performing “Forever Young” with a AI-generated video of the recently-deceased Ozzy Osbourne taking selfies, using a selfie-stick, in “heaven” with Michael Jackson, Prince, Tina Turner, Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, XXXTentacion, Janis Joplin, Aaliyah, Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Kurt Cobain, Whitney Houston, and Amy Winehouse.
On top of that, Rod Stewart’s show also has AI-generated video of Ozzy Osbourne, supposedly in the afterlife, doing things with Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie.
“Very sad, a lot of those people died ’cause of drugs,” Stewart said after showing the clip at his Charlotte, North Carolina tour stop last week. “I’m still here, though!”
Several concert-goers who attended one of Stewart’s shows have shared on social media what the stunning video of Ozzy Osbourne posing with the “Eternal Stars” looks like.

One can only imagine what those who were close to Prince, Michael Jackson, and others think about the music icons being fabricated by AI into making stupid grins along with Ozzy as they take selfies together in a video for a Rod Stewart concert.
Many fans, for sure, don’t like it.
