Rock legend Robert Plant is set to release a new album, Saving Grace, which he’ll support by embarking on a US tour with his band of the same name. The announcement arrives with the first single, a cover of Low’s “Everybody’s Song.” Listen to it below.
Set for release on September 26th via Nonesuch Records, Saving Grace first started taking shape back during the pandemic in Plant’s home country of England. That’s where he connected with the Saving Grace band – vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. They’ve been working together over the past six years, building a chemistry and comradery that blossomed into this new album.
“We laugh a lot, really. I think that suits me. I like laughing,” Plant explained in a press statement. “You know, I can’t find any reason to be too serious about anything. I’m not jaded. The sweetness of the whole thing … These are sweet people and they are playing out all the stuff that they could never get out before. They have become unique stylists and together they seem to have landed in a most interesting place.”

Following Plant’s most recent releases on Nonesuch, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar (2014) and Carry Fire (2017), along with 2021’s Raise the Roof with Alison Krauss, Saving Grace was produced by the singer and the band, and recorded between April 2019 and January 2025 in the Cotswolds and on the Welsh Borders. The new album finds the collective reinterpreting songs by Memphis Minnie, Bob Mosley (Moby Grape), Blind Willie Johnson, The Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan, Sarah Siskind, and Mimi Parker and Alan Sparhawk’s Low.
While Plant and Saving Grace have previously toured Europe and the UK, they’ll be making their US debut with an initial run of North American shows. After a string of previously announced shows overseas, the tour kicks off October 30th in Wheeling, West Virginia, stopping off in cities including Brooklyn, Chicago and Seattle before winding up in Los Angeles on November 22nd. A ticket pre-sale for select dates is set for Thursday, July 17th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster (use access code LIGHTS) and Plant’s website, with a public on-sale following on Friday, July 18th at 10:00 a.m. local time.
