Jen Shah Posted A Hint Of The Allegedly Racist Co-Star
There’s major drama brewing in the “Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City” show. Shah, who shares two sons with her husband Sharrief, went on her Instagram story to accuse one of her castmates of calling her son the N-Word.
The IG story, which she titled “Let’s Play…Who did that?! #RHOSLC Edition,” featured an array of hints of the said co-star. Shah stated that the co-star donated to Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign “4 times” and asked to touch her hair after comparing the reality star with the Disney character, Moana.
According to Shah, the person said, “there are ‘different kinds of black people… For example, ‘black people from Compton are different from black people from Salt Lake City (note…my husband is from Compton).”
The co-star also stated, according to the reality star, “not to be racist or anything, but I like the big black one best,’” possibly referring to the stereotype surrounding the genitalia of Black men.
‘RHOSLC’ Has Been Riddle With Controversy
Shah’s outrage comes a few months after Jennie Nguyen, a co-star on the “RHOSLC,” was fired based on her racially insensitive posts, most of which downplayed the Black Lives Matter protest, especially following the death of George Floyd.
“Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen, and she will no longer be a cast member on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Bravo said of her exit. “We recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention.”
They continued, “Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions.”
Although Nguyen apologized for her posts, Shah called out her apologies, labeling them disingenuous.
She was also seemingly disappointed by the apology adding per E! News, “It was infuriating to see her like and repost comments that made a mockery of and showed complete apathy toward those killed.”
Jen Shah Faces Criminal Charges
Shah recently pleaded guilty to “wire fraud,” stating that her marketing companies actually offered “services with little to no value.”
She further stated that she was fully aware of the fact that her telemarketing scheme affected a specific age group of purchasers of her “services.” According to People Shah continued, “We used interstate telephones and emails. I knew many of the purchasers were over the age of 55.”
The reality star’s guilty plea acceptance helped her avoid getting charged for money laundering, which would have attracted more jail time for her.
Although the case is yet to be concluded, Shah is now facing up to 14 years in jail out of a maximum of 30.
The Third Season Of ‘RHOSLC’ Has Been Wrapped Up
According to reports, the production for the show’s third season wrapped up early this summer. However, Shah’s courtroom drama was reportedly not part of the filming but her legal battles and history will still be a major part of the reality shows plot for the newest season.
“There were no cameras in the courtroom,” a source disclosed to E! News, “but production shot confessionals on the women’s reactions that will likely be a part of season three.” They continued, “There is no way to know what will happen, but the show technically has wrapped with her, and this is not a part of the production cycle.”
