RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp has grown ‘afraid’ of ex Edwin Arroyave as he’s ‘determined to take her down’ in their nasty divorce, a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
The couple faced cheating allegations throughout their marriage – but new claims that have surfaced since their split have only made things “more painful” for the entire family.

A source has revealed that Teddi, 43, cares only about her kids; daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10, right now and is “prioritizing their well-being.”
“She hates [the kids] are being dragged through this and she hates even more so how public it’s become so shielding her kids from all of this negativity is her top priority.
“Because of this, she is really disappointed Edwin can’t have the same grace towards her.”
The insider claimed that Edwin, 47, is “determined to come out on top for this divorce.”
“He wants to look good and wants to maintain custody of the kids so he’s willing to do whatever to make that happen.
“She’s scared it’s gotten to this point and has grown more and more afraid of what he’s willing to do.
“Her support from her girlfriends, specifically Kyle Richards, has been helping her navigate this mess.
“If it wasn’t for the support from her friends and her love for her kids, not sure what Teddi would do.”

Earlier this month, Teddi first filed for divorce and days later, Edwin filed a response with conflicting information.
In court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, the RHOBH alum listed their separation date as October 20, 2024 whereas Edwin wrote November 1, 2024.
Teddi asked for primary custody of their three kids but in his response, Edwin requested joint physical and legal custody.
The court papers also show Edwin opposing her request for him to provide her with spousal support.
He takes it one step further and asked that Teddi actually pay him spousal support and also requested for the court terminate the ability to award her with any spousal support.
“The parties’ Premarital Agreement sets forth the terms regarding the amount and duration of spousal support to be paid,” the document stated of their prenup.
In early November, Teddi left Bravo fans shocked when she announced her divorce from Edwin in an Instagram post.
“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.
“My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.
“Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
An insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun that it was “100% Teddi’s decision to pull the trigger.”

“It was not just one thing that led to it, she would never leave the father of her children over a single thing.
“It took a long time, a really long time and a lot of pain for years for her to decide that this is what was best for her and the kids.”
As for what led to the surprising decision, the insider claimed there were serious issues in their past that Teddi “had to work through” – but did so as she “felt it was best for her family to forgive and move on.”
“She went on a long journey to forgive and trust again. The first year she was on [RHOBH], she was secretly fighting a lot of trauma no one except maybe Kyle knew about.
“But again, wanted to keep her family together so they worked through it privately.”
UNFAITHFUL?
Teddi had hinted at Edwin’s infidelity in the past – admitting on an October 2023 episode of her Two T’s podcast that things were once so bad with her husband, she couldn’t even look at him.
“For years, I had so much resentment towards Edwin and it was to the point where I couldn’t even look at him. Once you’ve been burned, it’s hard to come back from that,” she told co-host Tamra Judge.
When RHOC star Tamra pushed that Teddi was confessing to Edwin cheating on her, she stayed more vague: “Let me just say, you get more controlling and more guarded when your family is involved.”
Earlier today, a report from Us Weekly came out accusing Teddi of having a months-long affair with her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder.
While adding they were “both” unfaithful while still married, the source claimed: “Teddi and Edwin had been working on the problems of their marriage, despite past indiscretions.
“They stayed in the marriage for the sake of the kids.”
The U.S. Sun reached out to both Teddi and Edwin for comment.
