REAL Housewives of Beverley Hills newcomer Annemarie Wiley has been called out by officials online.
The 40-year-old reality television star was introduced to the Bravo show around the same time as Sutton Stracke‘s medical issues were first discussed.
Annemarie faced criticism after she tried to discuss Sutton’s Esophageal Stricture, which makes it increasingly difficult for her to eat.
Annemarie spoke up to her on the show and questioned whether the condition would actually impair her eating ability.
When asked by co-stars, she maintained that she was qualified to comment on the issue because she went to medical school.
Now, The American Society of Anesthesiologists took to Instagram to call Annemarie out on her claims.
The RHOBH star claimed she was a doctor, but she is a nurse.
The official organisation posted an infographic on their feed which compared the difference between anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists.
The graphic emphasized that anesthesiologists must attend medical school, have 12-14 years of higher education and complete up to 16,000 hours of clinical training.
Nurse anesthesiologists must complete a lot, but less training than an anesthesiologist.
CALLED OUT
“The Real Housewives know a fake. Anesthesiologists are medical doctors,” the organization captioned the post.
“Title misappropriation has no place in health care,” warned the organization, emphasising that Annemarie does not have the authority for her comments.
Crystal Kung Minkoff also claimed that Annemarie introduced herself as a doctor on this week’s episode of RHOBH, despite being a nurse.
“Annemarie is being called out by the American Society of Anesthesiologist’s on Instagram!,” wrote a fan on X, formerly Twitter.
“Shout-out to Kyle Richards for bringing someone onto the show who not only sucks on TV but who also is probably about to lose her in real life job because she was dumb enough to come in as Kyle’s henchman,” wrote another, referring to co-star Kyle Richards.
“How embarrassing,” simply noted a third.
Others said her comments were, “offensive,” while another claimed, “She could get her nursing license revoked!”
REGRETS
This was not the first time Kyle was asked about bringing someone onto the show.
A fan asked her on social media why she regretted bringing co-star Morgan Wade onto the show.
Fans focused in on Kyle’s rumored relationship with Morgan after an episode where she attempted to raise awarness for suicide prevention.
“She’s an artist, she wants to make music, and all of a sudden she’s thrust into the world of gossip and tabloids and having paparazzi take pictures of her,” she said in the video.
“And she just doesn’t like any of that. You know, she doesn’t want the attention.
“She doesn’t want to be talked about. She just wanted to make music.”
The reality star also revealed that she harbored a lot of guilt around Morgan’s undesired fame.
