YouTubers Rhett and Link were left shaken after calling a random number from a 1984 phonebook, only to have a fan of theirs answer the call.
As two of the longest-standing YouTube creators, Rhett and Link have maintained almost 20M subscribers on the platform with their hit show, Good Mythical Morning.
They do something unique each morning, like a blind donut taste test, facing their biggest fears, as well as making foods with Mountain Dew as an ingredient.
In a clip shared to TikTok, Rhett and Link called a random number from 1984, only to find a fan of the show on the other line.

The video starts with Link calling the phone number, and both influencers were left shocked when somebody actually answered.
“I didn’t understand what you said, but I was hoping that you were the HH Birkencamp Funeral Home Inc,” they said before the guy on the phone told them who they called. “I’m Link, this is Rhett. We have a phonebook from 1984… we were just a little fascinated by this.”
The man on the other side of the phone asked them to clarify their names and revealed that he is a “huge” fan of Good Mythical Morning.
Rhett replied: “Well, you’re on it right now.”
Fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts about the wild interaction, with many of them just as shocked as Rhett and Link themselves.
“He did not hear anything after your names lol,” one user commented.
Another said: “Imagine chillin’ at work. At a FUNERAL HOME of all places. And you get a call from Rhett and Link. Like just out of the blue.”
“The way his voice went up a bit when he asked ‘From Good Mythical Morning?’” commented a third.
Good Mythical Morning isn’t the only show Rhett and Link have created over the years. They revealed Wonderhole back in 2024, which is a new scripted comedy show created by the YouTubers.
