Multi-platinum recording Latin-pop and bachata artist Prince Royce released his newest studio album “Eterno.”
The record opens with a smooth rendition of “Dancing in the Moonlight” and he is able to dust off the Bee Gees’ “How Deep is Your Love” and give it a refreshing, modern twist, which is quite catchy.
Royce is subsequently able to make Lionel Richie proud with his sultry cover of “Stuck on You.”
A true standout is his gorgeous version of Richard Marx’s love ballad “Right Here Waiting,” which is heartfelt, thus evoking raw emotions. It is followed by an expressive take on “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Equally noteworthy are “All Out of Love” and “If Only for One Night.” He is able to tip his hat to the Beatles with “Yesterday,” where he showcases his rich, mellifluous vocals.
This journalist’s personal favorite song on the album is his glorious rendition of “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys, which is worth the price of this album alone.
Royce allows his crisp, harking voice to shine on the Motown standard “My Girl” by The Temptations.
After a soothing and melodic version of “Killing Me Softly,” it closes with a bachata take on Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say I Love You” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your On Way,” where he leaves his fans and listeners wanting to hear more.

The Verdict
Overall, Prince Royce delights on his latest bachata cover album “Eterno.” He proves to be at the top of his game musically, and he is able to exude a great deal of charm, passion, and charisma.
Each song on here has its own identity and it feels like we are hearing them for the first time, especially with a Latin-infused flair.
One can hear Prince Royce’s heart on this eclectic album, where he is able to make all of these classic songs his own.
For his exceptional musical work on “Eterno,” Royce should be recognized at the upcoming Latin Grammy and Grammy Awards.
Speaking of the Latin Grammy Awards, it is quite surprising that Royce has yet to win a Latin Grammy (despite 15 career nominations). Hopefully, “Eterno” will be the album that changes that because he is very deserving. “Eterno” garners an A rating.
