FORMER TLC star Jon Gosselin is feeling “relieved” after a judge dismissed ex Kate’s appeal over $132,000 in back child support.
The mom-of-eight, 49, and Jon, 47, have been battling for years over custody and financial arrangements – and Kate has most recently been trying to get her ex to pay up $132,875 in back child support payments.
The case was thrown out by a judge in November last year – but Kate filed an appeal a month later.
Kate had originally filed the adverse revival claim against Jon in September 2022, to request the court to enforce the payment of an old 2018 judgment.
Now, court documents show that a Superior Court of Pennsylvania judge has quashed the appeal – although Kate’s lawyer has hit back and said the case is “far from over.”
An insider revealed how the reality star has been so “stressed” out by the never-ending legal battle, his health has been impacted.

They added that the star is now looking forward to “moving on” with his girlfriend Stephanie – and has decided to focus on his health and wellbeing.
A source close to Jon said, “To say Jon is relieved is an understatement – he has spent so much time, money, and emotional energy fighting Kate, and finally it’s over.
“The past few years have been so stressful for him, it’s really taken a toll on his health.
“All he’s ever wanted was to move on with his life, but Kate kept pulling him back in time with her continuous lawsuits.

“The nonstop stress caused him to gain weight. Today he’s on a health kick now and trying to get back to his old self. He truly is putting himself first.
“He’s thought in the past that Kate’s endless legal battle was finally over – and then she would go and file a new claim all over again.
“But finally her legal attacks have reached the end of the road, it’s finally over, and he feels like now he can move on and start enjoying his life.
“He is in love and he’s focusing on his health his children, Collin and Hannah, and his DJing career. He is traveling the country playing music at events and clubs.”
KATE’S SIDE
However, Kate’s attorney Richard J. Puleo fired back, telling The U.S. Sun that the case is far from over – as he believes Jon is still “on the hook for a payment.”
“Jon may think this is over but it ain’t over ’till the fat lady sings, and she hasn’t sung yet,” he said.
“The appeal is not a final order because the Superior Court simply quashed the appeal because they only accept appeals that are from a Final Order.
“The lower Court (Berks County Court of Common Pleas) simply ordered that a judgment against Jon could not be entered by Confession (despite the note that Jon signed stating that).
“The lower Court never ruled on whether Jon still owes the money because he has never paid it – it could be either deemed child support or simply an obligation that he agreed to pay.
“This matter is still an open proceeding that the Superior Court does not yet have to rule upon, so the case will now go back down to the lower court, and we will proceed against him for breach of contract.”
“So while the appeal may be quashed, the judge’s order does not forgive Jon of his obligation to pay up.
“We will now have to amend our proceedings or may even have to start new proceedings – but this is not over,” he added.
“The facts are the facts. The money I’m seeking is for the benefit of the children and that’s why I’m never letting this go until he’s paid what he owes.”
THE NEW JON
Meanwhile, Jon showed off the initial results of his health transformation at an event last week at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center in West Hollywood – showing off an impressive 32-pound weight loss.
He’s been working with the center’s health and wellness program to lose weight and get in shape using a form of Ozempic called Semaglutide and testosterone replacement.
He spoke about his 32-pound weight loss and new diet with US Weekly, revealing he started taking Semaglutide after his girlfriend lost weight on it.
He said, “It’s all diet. It literally is diet.”
Jon is even getting cutting-edge CellSound treatments – which uses a metal device to break down fat cells – to tighten his skin after the weight loss.
KATE’S LIFE
Meanwhile, Kate currently lives in a $750,000 property by a lake in North Carolina after selling her home in Pennsylvania.
Last year, she made her first return to reality TV since 2019 to appear on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
To say Jon is relieved is an understatement – he has spent so much time, money, and emotional energy fighting Kate, and finally it’s over.

Kate and Jon’s long-running legal and custody battle, which had been bubbling since their acrimonious 2009 divorce, appeared to be over last year – with Jon telling The U.S. Sun he was “finally free” after they both signed “termination agreements” over child support in March 2023.
CUSTODY BATTLE
Before the kids turned 18 in May 2022, Kate had custody of their sextuplets Leah, Alexis, Joel, and Aaden, all 19, and also had custody of twins Mady and Cara, both 23.
Jon had Hannah and Collin in his custody and – as all the children were nearing adulthood – he believed that the termination agreement meant their battle was over.
In an exclusive interview in March last year, he said, “I’m in a pretty euphoric place right now.
“It’s been 14 years of court and now it is finally over.
“Domestic Relations wanted to have a hearing, which they do every three years to reevaluate income and I just called my attorney and said, ‘Please, let’s just put this to bed.’
“So we’ve both signed termination agreements over the two remaining open child support cases, which means it’s done. It’s over.”
HOPES DASHED
However, Jon’s “euphoria” was short-lived as Kate continued to fight over an old 2018 judgment for back child support, which was dismissed in November 2023.
After Kate’s December 2023 appeal against this judgment, Jon accused her of “dragging him back to the past.”
“So this thing has already been quashed by judges and she still won’t let it go,” Jon told The U.S. Sun at the time.
“My hands are tied, there’s not much more I can do, I’m done hiring lawyers. I’ve spent every last penny. I work just to protect myself from her.
Jon may think this is over but it ain’t over ’till the fat lady sings, and she hasn’t sung yet.
Atty Richard J. Puleo
“I have moved on in my life but apparently Kate’s stuck in the past. She’s still back in 2009.”
At the time, Kate’s lawyer responded, “The docket speaks for itself and 90% of the time, if not more, what you hear from Jon or his sources are complete outright lies.
“May want to check the docket, apparently his most recent attorney, which I believe is his 10th or 11th, needs to be withdrawn because Jon can’t pay him or owes money, which is the normal route for him.
“That speaks volumes.”
