Legendary Swedish hardcore band Refused have unveiled a number of opening acts, as well as added a Washington, D.C. show to their upcoming North American farewell tour.
The Washington, D.C. gig at The Atlantis will now kick off the tour on March 20th. Tickets for that show go on sale this Friday (February 28th) via Ticketmaster, while tickets for rest of the outing are already on sale at this location.
While it was previously reported that Quicksand will provide direct support on all dates, a slew of opening bands have now been revealed.
DYSTARON will support the D.C. show (the only date not featuring Quicksand), while the newly added opening acts include Orange 9mm, Dion Lunadon, Sundowner, Racetraitor, Zulu, Cleaner, Villain, Plum Vision, Actors, and Help (see the itinerary below for the specific dates).
Refused announced the farewell tour and their impending breakup back in September, revealing they had actually planned to call it quits by the end of 2024. However, those plans were derailed when frontman Dennis Lyxzén suffered a massive heart attack in June 2024.
Thankfully, Lyxzén is in good health these days, as the band gets ready to kick off its farewell run. Following the North American dates, Refused will play a number of European festivals in the summer. As of now, their last show is slated for August 9th at the Bay Fest in Bimini, Italy.
