Following the band’s collaboration with Alpha Wolf on industrial metal track ‘Cannibal’, the new track is a defiant slab of metalcore complete with hip-hop-inspired verses and stadium rock production.

Speaking about ‘Pyromaniac’, RedHook vocalist Emmy Mack has shared:

‘”Pyromaniac’ is a song about making an urgent decision to get professional help with your mental health. It soundtracks this brutally catalytic moment – standing alone in the wreckage of your past mistakes and desperately resolving to change before it kills you. To figure out the root of your self-destructive patterns so you can finally break them. It’s about reflecting on every bridge you’ve ever burnt and asking for help to figure out how to not burn anymore.”

Have a listen via the song’s music video – loosely inspired by 1986 film ‘The Labyrinth’ – below.

With the track arriving alongside the announcement of the Australian band’s first-ever label signing with Adventure Cat Records, Emmy has said:

“RedHook have always prided ourselves on being 100% independent, and it took the right label to come along to make an honest band out of us. We have so much love and respect for Matt and Mike from Adventure Cat; they’re both absolute weapons in the global alternative space, and their achievements speak for themselves. But they’re also just top-notch humans. They understand our vision and are perfectly aligned with our hard-punching underdog (or, er, cat?) ethos, and we couldn’t be more stoked to join forces with them for this next chapter.”

RedHook are preparing to play their biggest Australian headline shows to date, before returning to the UK to support Dream State this October.
