Rebecca Black, who went viral back in 2011 with her earworm of a song “Friday,” is 25-years-old now, has a new album and she is going on tour.
Since re-emerging into the public consciousness in 2020 with a message about bullying, Rebecca Black has been getting back into the music game.
In 2021, she dropped a club remix of “Friday” on the 10 year anniversary of her hit song blowing up on the internet.
On Thursday, Rebecca Black announced the release of her first studio album, Let Her Burn.
According to a press release…
Let Her Burn opens with “Erase You,” introducing a whole new side of the queer-celebrate creator by blending pop motifs and futuristic electronic production. The album’s introductory single “Crumbs” sees Rebecca explore the vulnerability she’s felt in finding balance with submission, dominance, and sexuality. Instant classics like “Destroy Me” and “Misery Loves Company” see Rebecca channel deep, dark emotions into pop-driven hits for the dancefloor. Heads will turn as Rebecca seizes her sexuality on the sultry, upbeat “Doe Eyed,” the erotic anthem we never knew we needed, while Rebecca bares her soul on a ballad for the broken hearts, “Sick To My Stomach.”
Black has already released a few music videos to accompany her new album. One for her song “Crumbs,” as well videos for “Look at You” and “Sick to My Stomach.”
Not only is Rebecca Black back with her debut studio album, she’s also going on tour.
She already been touring over in the United Kingdom with shows in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol.
The North American part of her tour begins on May 4th at The Sinclair in Boston with stops in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, St. Paul, Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Black last made news in 2021 when she released a set of “nudie” playing cards that sold out in 25 minutes of being put on sale.
