RAT BOY have shared new track ‘One In A Million’, featuring emo rapper lil aaron.
The new single follows the release of the band’s ‘Suburbia Calling’ single, which landed in April, and comes ahead of their first London gig in six years at The Lower Third this Thursday, June 13.
‘One In A Million’ takes on a ska groove for a track that delves into the feeling of wanting it all whilst making the bare minimum level of effort.
Speaking of the track, which was produced by the legendary Stephen Street (whose credits include Blur and The Smiths), frontman Jordan Cardy has said:
“‘One In A Million’ is about doing the lottery every week imagining what it would be like if you had all that nice cash”.
Have a listen to the track below, which features the guest vocals of cult emo rapper lil aaron.
Since their last time playing the English capital, RAT BOY have played gigs with Yungblud, The Interrupters and Coachella, spent time working in the States and gained something of an obsessive fandom in Japan.
Originally a solo project of Jordan’s, RAT BOY now features the wealth of sound and ideas from bassist Liam Haygarth, guitarist Harry Todd and Noah Booth on drums.
