Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk has told fans the band “will not be touring or playing live again”.
Wilk shared the message on Instagram, addressing the band’s previous cancellation of their 2023 tour due to a severe leg injury sustained by Zack de la Rocha.
But, it turns out, there will now be no more reunion altogether.
In the post, Wilk explained:
“I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows.
“I don’t want to string people or myself along any further.
“So while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again.”
“I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”
Rage Against the Machine first announced their reunion tour dates in 2019, which then had to be delayed several times due to the pandemic, before de la Rocha’s injury – specifically to his achilles – led to more cancellations.
Rage Against The Machine were inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in November, but only Tom Morello attended the ceremony.
