A NEW clip from Rachael Ray’s Tuscany-inspired cooking show has sparked concern among the celebrity chef’s fans.
Rachael, 56, appears to slur her words in a preview for the latest episode of Rachael Ray in Tuscany, which was shared on Instagram on Monday, 2 September.
In the video, Rachael paid tribute to legendary singer Tony Bennett by sharing the recipe of his favorite dish – ossobuco, or braised veal shanks, served with polenta and bread.
In the video, Rachael wore a black-and-white stripe, full-sleeved top, along with a pair of dainty silver necklaces and her glasses.
She recalled the time “I almost killed him” when Tony came to Rachael’s house for dinner with his wife Susan Benedetto.
“I had polished the floors in the kitchen because, well, Tony Bennett’s coming to dinner,” she began. “I have to make sure the floors are perfect and the house is clean and everything is just amazing.”
Rachael admitted going “overboard with the floors” because the chair “slid out from under” Tony, who “hit his head on my marble counter behind him.”
She continued, “And he fell to the floor, and I thought I killed Tony Bennett.”
‘IS SHE OKAY?’
She added that the multiple Grammy award winner, who died last July, eventually recovered from the fall and proceeded to enjoy “two portions” of Rachael’s ossobucco dish.
Reacting to the clip, one fan commented they were “seriously concerned” about Rachael, with others noting her speech was “slurred” during parts of the video.
“She got emotional talking about her friend is all,” another Instagram user speculated.
A third person wrote, “She’s aging like the rest of us. Maybe she has a medical condition, maybe she is on medication. Regardless, no need to be mean.”
“Omg is she ok? What happened,” a fourth comment read.
This isn’t the first time fans have expressed fears over Rachael’s well-being.
Last month, Rachael’s followers were shocked at her appearance after she uploaded a TikTok to promote her new cooking show set in Tuscany, Italy.
“I hardly recognized her,” one user commented.
