Rachael Ray has spoken out about the making of one of her cookbooks

RACHAEL Ray has spoken out about the time she ‘stormed out’ when producers tried to ‘edit’ her words.

The New York-based chef, 56, launched her “unscripted and raw” podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, last month, and she has now opened up about her 2019 book and the audio recording for it.

Rachael has spoken out about how she “stormed out” when her words were “edited” during the writing process for her 2019 book, which she discovered during the audiobook recording for it.

And it seems that the TV starlet wasn’t happy when her words were altered.

Rachael Ray 50: Memories and Meals from a Sweet and Savory Life: A Cookbook came out on October 15, 2019, and now Rachael has given a glimpse to fans of the production process.

“They asked me to do an audio of my book that I wrote when I was 50,” she explained on her latest podcast episode.

“It was half memoir, half recipe book. They had edited it before I sat for the thing.”

She then added, “I was so p–sed somebody messed with my words.

“I stormed out,” she exclaimed.

“It’s so embarrassing to admit that but I did,” she added.

“They were just trying to make the thing more popular. But I just find it so hard. I don’t like people messing with my stuff.”

PLUMMETING PODCAST

This comes after The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed how Rachael’s podcast I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead has not ranked in the top 250 of all Apple podcasts, according to Chartable.

Rachael Ray admits life in spotlight is ‘very, very challenging’ as rumors swirl she’s suffering from health issues

The podcast is listed in the Arts, and Society and Culture sections.

In the Arts category, the podcast ranked in the 95th spot as of November 22.

Competitors who beat out I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead include Deb Perelman and J. Kenji López-Alt’s The Recipe with Kenji and Deb, which placed in the 13th spot, and Food Network star Ina Garten’s Be My Guest with Ina Garten, which placed 22nd.

SPOTLIGHT STRUGGLES

In last week’s episode, Rachael shared her feelings about fame, where she said she feels accomplished and good about herself after working all day.

“I’ve been working in kitchens off the books since I was 12,” she said.

“But since I was on my mom’s hip when I was two or three, I always feel better after a day’s work, whether it was on someone’s hip or standing next to them or washing dishes.

“I always felt good about myself if I knew I contributed in some way that day, and I learned something that day.

“It’s always been very hard for me to be noticed, which is weird.

“But to make TV or go to public things has always been very, very challenging to me and the toughest part of it.

“But I like to work. I mean, I really love it,” she went on.

HEALTH CONCERNS FROM WORRIED FANS

The release of the chef’s new podcast comes after she sparked a series of health concerns among her fans.

The worried fans expressed their concern after the chef exhibited unusual behavior in some Instagram videos.

Some of Rachael’s fans believed that she appeared to slur her words in a preview for an episode of Rachael Ray in Tuscany earlier this year.

In the video, Rachael paid tribute to legendary singer Tony Bennett by sharing the recipe for his favorite dish.

But fans were sidetracked and distracted by Rachael’s behavior.

One fan said at the time that they were “seriously concerned” about the chef.

Others claimed she was just feeling upset over her friend’s death.

“She got emotional talking about her friend, is all,” another Instagram user said.
