RACHAEL Ray made a candid confession on her latest podcast episode, with the TV chef sharing how she felt embarrassed by her fashion choices.
Rachael, 56, admitted that she felt “embarrassed” by her appearance around her fashionable friend Anne Burrell on her podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
Sitting down for a natter with her good friend and fellow Food Network alum, Chef Anne Burrell, the pair discussed what it’s like being a woman in the food industry.
Anne then spoke about dressing well in your day-to-day life, making an effort with your appearance and making yourself look good as a way to feel confident.
“I feel like when you take the effort to do that on your outside it makes you feel better on the inside,” Anne said.
“And like when you show up to a situation, no matter what it is, when you are put together, people notice that.

“And I think it just almost commands respect, you know, where, when you have taken the time to put together yourself,” she went on.
She affirmed that “things don’t have to be expensive” and added that putting in a “little” bit of effort will send a message to people and allow them to “react accordingly”.
Rachael then chimed in and said, “I agree with you,” before revealing how she was “embarrassed” because of how she was dressed.
‘I’M EMBARRASSED’
She said, “And now I’m embarrassed I’m sitting here in a large t-shirt and a sweater, but it is cold here.”
Anne then described her outfit to listeners, saying, “I’m sitting here, you know, like an Amazon sweater and I’ve got like no pants on.
“I’m just kidding, I have pants on.”
“But I think it just goes into the whole package,” Anne added, “And I think it’s like how it sort of shows how you think of yourself.
“How you present yourself to the world.”
Rachael then gushed about her friend and said, “I don’t think people know a lot about your path – the double college degrees the one job and then changing your path totally.
“In life can you walk everybody through just kind of for what we can learn from it how you got from A to B to C to D to wow.”
