HBO has unveiled a new trailer for Dune: Prophecy ahead of its release this November. Watch it below.
A prequel series set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides (portrayed by Timothée Chalamet in Denis Villeneuve’s films), Dune: Prophecy centers around Valya Harkonnen (Emily Watson) and Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams) as they establish a powerful sisterhood called the Bene Gesserit to save the future of humanity.
“Our hands are poised on the levers of power, but yet our grasp on it is still fragile. I am trying to protect the Imperium,” Watson’s Valya says to Williams’ Tula in the trailer. “Sacrifices must be made.”
Dune: Prophecy was created by Diane Ademu-John, with Alison Schapker serving as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The six-episode show also stars Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason and Shalom Brune-Franklin.
Last week, Dune: Prophecy was officially rebranded as an HBO Original after first being promoted as a Max show. The series will both air on HBO and stream on Max in November.
