Pool Kids have shared candid single ‘Leona Street’, taken from their upcoming album ‘Easier Said Than Done’.
With the full-length set to arrive on August 15 via their new label Epitaph, it follows the release of the title track last month.
Sparked by walking past the house of an old friend she had previously fallen out with, on ‘Leona Street’ vocalist Christine Goodwyne has shared:
“This was a person who really knew me, and was familiar with my futile cycles of trying to get better. I was thinking about how they would laugh if they saw me outside on a run, once again going through the motions of trying to get it together. It forced me to confront that I am still the flawed person this old friend would remember, the kind of person that let the friendship die in the first place.”

On the inspiration behind the band’s latest record, Christine adds:
“There’s a lot of Florida imagery and a lot of really specific glimpses from tour on this album. By letting myself get specific, I feel a lot more emotionally connected to the songs. It’s a very personal record for me and for the whole band, too. I was writing about what life has been like for all of us over the last few years. I feel like all of us can relate to a lot of the songs.”
