Phantogram Release New Song “All a Mystery”: Stream

Phantogram are back with “All a Mystery,” their first new single since 2022.

Big, open, and dreamy, “All a Mystery” is built around a driving 6/8 beat, over which vocalist Sarah Barthel’s voice soars, delivering lines like the hook “It’s all a mystery in my head/ I’d give up everything just to feed the fire again.”

In a statement, the duo said, “‘All A Mystery’ was a line that we used to sing when we first started writing songs for Phantogram. We would sing it and harmonize it together while working in the barn turned recording studio. Back then, it was ‘all a mystery’ to us how we came together to become a band, and 14 years later, we are bewildered that we have been doing this for so long.”

Continuing, they explained, “This song touches on love, life, death, and loss. It digs into memories, and the wonder of existence. And it examines the push and pull of time on this planet, and being able to share the experience of everything all at once as a mere grain of sand on an endless beach.” Stream “All a Mystery” below.

In addition to being Phantogram’s first single since 2022’s “Suzie,” it also marks their first release since signing to Neon Gold Records. The duo debuted “All a Mystery” live at Just Like Heaven Festival earlier this month.

Up next, Phantogram will hit the road in support of Kings of Leon, performing in Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and more cities. Check out their upcoming dates below, and grab tickets here.
