Pete Davidson ‘will not be invited back to Saturday Night Live anytime soon’ as feud with Colin Jost reaches show execs

Pete Davidson is not expected to be invited back to Saturday Night Live anytime soon after an alleged falling out with Weekend Update host Colin Jost

PETE Davidson will not be invited to appear on Saturday Night Live anytime soon, an insider has claimed – as his feud with comedian pal Colin Jost has reached show executives.

A source exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that fans of the show shouldn’t expect to see Pete, 30, hosting Saturday Night Live, or appearing otherwise, anytime soon.

The insider claimed that the show’s creator and producer, Lorne Michaels, even caught wind of the comedians’ clash.

“Pete and Colin’s falling out went all the way to the top and Lorne has been made aware of the situation.”

“Despite Pete being invited to host in the past- it’s not looking likely that the comedian will be invited back anytime soon.”

A rep for the show said there is “no truth” to the insider’s claim that Pete is currently not invited back on the show.

The U.S. Sun also reached out to a rep for Pete for comment.

Pete, who left the show as a full-time cast member in 2022, returned to host its premiere on October 14 2023.

The Bodies, Bodies, Bodies star was initially slated to host on May 6, 2024, however, that show was canceled and the series went on hiatus for the duration of the writer’s strike.

It returned the following season with Pete’s debut as host.

Meanwhile, the insider added that the troubled funnyman has vanished from his tight-knit circle and that his mother has tried to help him out, but there’s “been no growth or update” since he left rehab from a brief stay in August.

As The U.S. Sun previously reported The Weekend Update host has refused to even be at the famed 30 Rock, where Saturday Night Live is taped if Pete is there.

THE FALLING OUT

The insider had said that ” something big happened” that resulted in Colin, 42, refusing to be “in the same building, let alone the same room as Pete.”

That insider claimed Colin “doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”

Meanwhile, a second insider, close to the comedians’ purchase of a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry, downplayed any rumors of a fallout.

The business source said the two are just “busy” and “don’t talk as much as they used to.”

That insider claimed that “People move on, they work on other things, and other relationships, and they are just not as close to the people that they once worked with previously.”

However, Pete was conspicuously absent when the ferry finally hosted its first event as a floating entertainment venue for New York Fashion Week.

Colin appeared during the Tommy Hilfiger fashion show on September 8.

At the event, the SNL staff writer told People buying the old ferry was “absolutely the dumbest and least thought-through purchase I’ve ever made in my life.”

Pete and Colin plunked down $280,000 at auction for the ferry in a partnership which includes architect and developer Ron Castellano and comedy club owner Paul Italia.

Plans for the vessel have included an entertainment venue and a floating hotel with bars and restaurants, although exactly how their rift is, or is not, impacting the investment remains unclear.

M.I.A. PETE

In August, an insider said that Pete had vanished from close friends’ lives, and Hollywood pals had turned their backs on him.

The source also claimed that before checking into rehab in July, Pete was missing work meetings.

Pete Davidson’s Rehab Stints

Pete first checked into rehab in 2017 as he was diagnosed with BPD and PTSD.

In 2019, he went to the Sierra Tucson Treatment Center in Arizona.

The comedian underwent treatment at another mental health facility in June 2023.

Most recently, he checked back into rehab at the end of July 2024.

A source revealed that Pete had left the facility after only a few weeks.

“He’s too much of a headache. He’s just really hard to deal with, not showing up to meetings,” they said, adding that at least one project had been canceled due to his alleged work performance.

It was reported that Pete had entered rehab once again, just after he split from his most recent girlfriend, Madelyn Cline.

A source exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Pete and Madelyn’s breakup was amicable.

LATEST REHAB STINT

People reported that the King of Staten Island actor checked into a rehab in July.

“Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,” a source had told the outlet at the time.

The insider added that since Pete’s borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder diagnoses in 2017, his mental health has “always been a priority.”

However, an insider claimed to The U.S. Sun that Pete’s latest rehab stint lasted only weeks.
