Pete Davidson Has ‘Amicably’ Split From Actress Madelyn Cline

Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline are no longer an item. The shocking breakup comes after months of the couple not being seen together publicly.

The comedian and actress’ romance made headlines in September last year, and they seemed happy together ever since.

Prior to news of their split, it was reported that Pete Davidson’s family was “very happy” to see him with Madelyn Clyne following his stint in rehab.

After almost a year together, Davidson and Cline reportedly called it quits on their romance.

The 30-year-old comedian and 26-year-old actress decided to end their relationship amicably after it seemingly fizzled out.

It’s not confirmed when exactly they split, as the former couple was very low-profile and hadn’t been seen together publicly since January.

The last time Davidson and Cline were photographed together was at his stand-up performance at the Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before that event, their last couple appearance was at Bobo’s Café in Somers, New York, where the comedian regularly goes.

Regarding their breakup, a source told The US Sun, “They ended things fairly recently, and I understand it was amicable.”

Neither Davidson nor Cline has publicly commented on the alleged breakup. The comedian has previously been in relationships with big-name celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.

Davidson and Cline’s relationship was first made public in September last year, shocking their respective fans. Subsequently, they remained very low-key with the romance and were very private about their outings and status as a couple.

In November, a source revealed to Us Weekly that Davidson and Cline’s decision to be private was a strategy.

They said, “Things are going really well with Madelyn and Pete, but they’re trying their best to keep a low-key romance. They have both dated people in the public eye before and are trying to maintain more privacy this time around.”

The insider also shared that Cline had met Davidson’s family and hit it off with them. They said that the “Bupkis” actor’s mother and sister thought the “Glass Onion” actress was very “lovely” after they spent quality time together and got to know her more.

According to reports, the pair turned up the dial in their romance in October when she joined him for the afterparty of the season 49 premiere of “Saturday Night Live.”

At the time, the duo’s cozy appearance at the star-studded event added fuel to the speculation surrounding their relationship, with a source telling People magazine that they seemed “very lovey” but “kept to themselves.”

For the event, Cline wore an all-black ensemble, while Davidson wore the sweatsuit he wore to close the episode of SNL. They were in the company of Cline’s pal, “Ozark” actress Sofia Hublitz.

Another source told Us Weekly that the pair planned to “show support” for each other’s project but will not “make a red carpet appearance together.”

Davidson and Cline started their romantic relationship not long after they both experienced breakups. In August, the month before their romance became public news, the comedian broke up with his “Bodies Bodies Bodies” co-star Chase Sui Wonders after they’d been together for almost a year.

On the other hand, Cline had been single since her breakup with her “Outer Banks” co-star Chase Stokes, whom she was with for over a year.

As of April this year, a source told Us Weekly that the comedian and actress were still going strong and were “very much in love.”

They also explained that their “independent” personal nature made it easy for Davidson and Cline to be in a relationship.

Davidson also recently trended on social media after he walked off stage during a show in Nebraska as part of his Prehab Tour.

The comedian walked off in response to hecklers in the audience who kept shouting his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande’s name and taunting him as he tried to finish his jokes for the set.

Members of the audience posted their experience from the show on Reddit, criticizing the hecklers. One person wrote, “This communication created a domino effect from crowds seated in the upper floor while he tried to interject, stating he wants to finish the last joke, which was sure to be absolutely worth it.”

They further said, “Between the collective shouting and Pete demanding he tell the final joke then consequently where he held his hands up, dropped the mic, walked off and lights went off was probably all of ten seconds.”
