Marvel Studios is the latest movie studio to deploy the “Our new popcorn bucket is clearly suggestive but we’re pretending it’s not” gimmick that began with the Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket, as the official Reed Richard/Mister Fantastic bucket featuring Pedro Pascal’s likeness also seems to be similarly sly.

Earlier this week, the first-look at the popcorn bucket — what an absurd sentence in and of itself — for Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic was released, although it is unclear which movie theater chain it will be available at.

It’s now the second popcorn bucket that has been confirmed to be available for purchase, as an absurdly-priced $79.95 Galactus-themed bucket at AMC was announced. According to Marvel Studios, “the universe’s biggest popcorn vessel” stands 17.5 inches tall and is 20 inches wide.

The Reed Richards bucket for The Fantastic Four, — is Marvel Studios’ third and final release of the year following Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts — however, is far more crude and immediately went viral as a result.

Fantastic Four

The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, will be released in movie theaters in the United States on Friday, July 25, making it one of two iconic superhero movies to hit the big screen that month alongside Superman.

Additional The Fantastic Four cast members include Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Check out the official synopsis and trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps below.

“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, the Fantastic Four must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone in it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
