HER latest album, The Glorification Of Sadness, became her sixth Top Ten hit when she released it in February.
And now Paloma Faith has admitted it could be time for a career change.
She told Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast: “My mum’s always telling me I need to train to be a teacher.
“She’s like, ‘You’ve had kids, you’ve done the pop star thing. Go and do PGCE [teacher training] because then you can have the same holidays as your kids’. I’m considering it. I just might put one more record out.”
Given the state of some schools right now, I’d stick to the music.
During the chat this week, Paloma also opened up about the stress of releasing new albums and said she isn’t scared of being let go by her label.
She said: “Every time I get towards putting an album out, I think, ‘This is the end’.
“But now everyone’s independent, so it’s quite cool if you get dropped.”
Danny’s football friends
WHAT happens at Soccer Aid stays at Soccer Aid . . . until Danny Dyer opens his gob.
The EastEnders star lifted the lift on last year’s wild post-match celebrations and insisted that away from the pitch, it’s a party like no other
Speaking on TalkSport, Danny said: “It was amazing – Tommy Fury was sucking on a bottle of Disaronno and Mo Farah was on the karaoke and Usain Bolt was at the bar. Interestingly it’s Robbie Keane who keeps everyone up all night, then he comes on the next day and wins the game.”
Lay Lady birthday
WORKING on your birthday can be a bit of a bore, but Elle Fanning was having a hoot as she turned 26 on Tuesday.
The actress was on set of the new Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, with leading man Timothee Chalamet.
The pair were photographed having a laugh between takes as they filmed in New York.
While Timothee is playing the folk music legend, Elle plays Sylvie Russo – a thinly veiled version of late artist Suze Rotolo, who dated Bob when they were teens.
Suze inspired a number of Bob’s songs including Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right and her impact on the star’s music will be shown for the first time in the new film.
The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan is his second studio album released in 1963 and the cover features Dylan with Suze.
Elle previously teamed up with Timothee on Woody Allen’s 2019 film A Rainy Day In New York where they spent weeks filming in the Big Apple.
I’m sure this time around they hit up a couple of bars to celebrate once the cameras had stopped rolling.
Encore!

Carl and Pete lib it up with Tiktok dance
THE music industry has changed a hell of a lot since The Libertines last topped the album charts in 2004.
But now they’re embracing the new normal of social media as their latest record, All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade, looks nailed on to hit the No1 spot tomorrow.
Joking about needing TikTok to get to the top, Carl Barat and Pete Doherty shared a hilarious new video, below, showing them doing a dance to their song Run Run Run after getting a PowerPoint presentation from “their label” telling them it’s not about record sales but going viral.
I’m not sure the dance will catch on but it gave us a good laugh.
And the lads being back at the top where they belong is exactly what they deserve.
It’s Zen out of ten
ZENDAYA scores an ace on the red carpet in this sleek dress.
The American actress posed in the slim white number at the London premiere of her new tennis-themed movie Challengers.
She was joined by her co-stars including Josh O’Connor at the bash in Leicester Square last night and despite the wind and rain, she still looked amazing.
I need a bit of that magic the next time I get caught in an April shower.
