Ozzy Osbourne Wants His Final Concert to Include Black Sabbath Reunion

Bassist Geezer Butler revealed that Ozzy Osbourne wants Black Sabbath to reunite for “three or four songs” at his final concert.

Back in May, we reported that Butler and Ozzy had agreed on playing one final Black Sabbath show. That came after Sharon Osbourne said that Ozzy won’t tour again but would play two more gigs his hometown of Birmingham, England, to “say goodbye.”

In a new interview with the Lifeminute YouTube channel, Butler said that Ozzy “still wants to do” a farewell concert and that the Prince of Darkness hopes the original four members of Sabbath can get back onstage together one last time for the occasion.

“He’s dying to still get out there and play,” Butler said. “And he suggested, at his very final concert, for the four of us to get up on stage and maybe do three or four songs together. And that would be it, finished.”

It remains to be seen whether the other two original members of Black Sabbath, guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward, would be up for it. That said, Ward has continuously expressed desire to play with Sabbath again, and last year, Iommi said he wouldn’t be opposed to a reunion if everyone is healthy enough, revealing that Black Sabbath turned down a potential reunion at the Power Trip festival mainly due to health-related reasons.

Butler and Ozzy certainly seem to be on good terms after being estranged for years. In May, the bassist said that he was now in communication with Ozzy “almost every day,” and the two even appeared together in a commercial for their hometown Aston Villa football club.
