In 2019, Foley got a concussion. She opened up about her recovery on the Concussion Foundation website. “The back of my head is still extremely sensitive to touch. Even when I’m trying to go to sleep, it hurts to put my head on the pillow, so I have to readjust a lot to find a way for my head to be comfortable. Also, every time I’ve been in the car, I have not let my head even touch the headrest, just in case we hit a bump or hit the brakes a little too hard. I just cannot risk my head even being slightly hit. I’m scarred from headrests, literally.”
Foley is pushing herself out of her comfort zone. She talked about this in this 2022 wrapped post on her Instagram. “I stepped out of my comfort zone and got out of the house more… For a while I wouldn’t leave my house for weeks at a time, so this was a big accomplishment for me. This year (like the past few) was very difficult, uncomfortable, painful, stressful, and emotional, but I tried to keep a smile through it all (most of the time) and for that, I am very proud of myself.”
As you can see from her recent Instagram post, Foley loves to spend time in the water. She captioned the photo, “I’ve seen far too many insides of doctors offices, and way too little sunshine… So I think it’s time to get some vitamin D.” Foley also shared this video of herself in a pool, captioning it, “Sweet dreams are made of these… Baths. Swimming isn’t the only thing Foley likes to do at the beach. She also loves to go kayaking. While on a trip to San Diego, Foley posted this highlight video on Instagram. In it, she is seen kayaking at the beach. She captioned it, “I knew it looked awesome from pictures online, but seeing it in person was on a whole nother level.”
Foley likes to practice yoga as a way to stay in shape. While on a trip to Dallas, she made sure to do a yoga session. She shared these photos from the day on Instagram. Foley captioned the post, “Getting my inner Yogi on over at @thompsonhoteldallas’ outdoor fitness lawn. I could stay up here all day. The gym and fitness lawn are so nice here at the Thompson that it actually makes me want to work out.”
