It seems Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek had a bit of a public dust-up recently, and it’s leaving fans taking sides on who was in the wrong. The drama between the two veteran actresses unfolded at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week on Sept. 30.

Footage surfaced online over the weekend featuring Nicole Kidman, 57, and Salma Hayek, 58. In the clip, Kidman seemingly pushed Hayek’s hand away as they posed for photos with Katy Perry.

After a photographer asked for “one more” shot, Hayek gently used her hands to steer Kidman, who was facing away from the cameraman, into the spotlight of the flashing cameras.
That’s when a defiant Kidman grasped Hayek’s hand and pushed it away.
She leaned in to kiss Perry and shared a few words with a visibly agitated Hayek before turning and sauntering off.
Unsurprisingly, Katy Perry was unfazed by the drama that unfolded before her and gladly posed for photos alongside Hayek.
Fans Take Sides After the Tense Moment Between Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek
Of course, as the footage of Nicole Kidman giving Salma Hayek the cold shoulder spread across the internet, so did the opinions of onlookers.
“First of all, I love Salma Hayek. But, nobody is touching Kidman without consent and Kidman is right,” one onlooker wrote on X. “Same as that French president’s wife trying to touch the queen. Is that like a French thing Hayek picked up? Being grabby. If it was a man, you would all be up in the air!!!” they added.
“Salma thinks because her husband is rich, she’s the boss. She’s an actress. She gets paid to get undressed on tv. Sit back down,” another Kidman supporter added.
However, another onlooker suspected Nicole may not have totally realized who had touched her.
“Nicole certainly couldn’t see a hand in front of her with those glasses, lol, but the “don’t touch me” was quite unnecessary,” the armchair body language expert concluded.
Meanwhile, one person who caught the video in question had an altogether different theory about Kidman’s behavior.
“I blame the wig! No right minded menopausal woman could act rationally with a wig/mop like that hanging all over you,” the X denizen insisted.
