A video circulating online shows the 32-year-old pop singer suddenly stopping the show and sprinting off the stage at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
The details of the video remain unclear. However, the Instagram post of the footage claimed that an audience member directed a laser at Nick.
“The person was removed from the venue and the show continued. I’m glad Nick and the rest of the best is safe,” the Instagram post of the footage alleged.
In the footage, Nick was observed signaling for a “time out” with his hands to his security as he hurried down the stairs, exiting the concert venue amidst the astonished gaze of the audience.
Joe and Kevin Jonas Quickly Followed Joe Offstage After the Laser Incident
After Nick exited the scene, his brothers Joe, 35, and Kevin, 36, also quickly followed him offstage. This resulted in a reportedly nearly 10-minute pause in the show.
A fan account claims after the potential threat was neutralized and the area secured, all three Jonas Brothers returned to the stage to deliver a performance of “BB Good.”
Meanwhile, Jonas Brothers’ acolytes were relieved that Nick and his bros were okay and able to continue the concert.
One fan gushed in the comments to the Instagram post: “absolutely terrifying 🙁 I’m glad he’s okay.” Another fan added: “Thinking of him ❤️.”
“May God protect him 🙏”, another fan wrote.
“@nickjonas handled that laser threat like a pro, but artists shouldn’t have to face this,” yet another fan pointed out.
Meanwhile, other fans were impressed with the security team’s communication skills with the pop group.
“They have a sign to indicate danger. Thats smart,” one fan noted. “I’m glad his team saw it and found the person,” another Jonas lover agreed.
Of course, Nick Jonas has reason to be cautious. He and his wife, 41-year-old Priyanka Chopra, welcomed their daughter via surrogate on January 15, 2022.
