One week in its wake, concertgoers everywhere are still reeling from the incomparable excitement of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s 54th annual presentation. In a dazzling celebration of The Big Easy’s singular arts culture and storied lineage, the festival brought its traditional litany of music’s biggest stars to the Gulf Coast, setting more than 5,000 artists and 500,000 fans at Fair Grounds Race Course. Things really got swinging on week two of the program, which ran from May 2-5; in the course of that long weekend, Jazz Fest welcomed the likes of The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Hozier, Tower of Power, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Bonnie Raitt, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Queen Latifah, Earth, Wind & Fire and many more.
