Following up on Elton John’s final North American concert, which occurred at Dodgers Stadium in 2022, The Rocket Man has revealed the impending release of a new documentary that pieces together the events ahead of his final US appearance. Dubbed Elton John: Never Too Late, the behind-the-scenes account will receive a limited Nov. 15 theatrical run prior to its December 13 arrival on Disney+.
Never Too Late, directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish, tells the story of Elton John’s five-decade career, going back to the early days of concert pasts as they work toward a focused account of his final concert in North America at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Along the way, the famed musician shares career highs and lows, addressing his tenacity to push through the hardships and keep playing in his fight to overcome abuse and addiction.
Perhaps the most potent aspect of the news is that the film includes a new original song by the artist, giving fans another reason to look forward to the late-fall reveal. Never Too Late follows the November 2022 release of Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium, available to stream on Disney+.
