Netflix has shared new information and materials on four feature docs premiering on the streamer this year: Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds, Chaos: The Manson Murders, Titan, and Pangolin: Kulu’s Journey.
Both newly announced titles, Chaos: The Manson Murders and Pangolin were dated for release on March 7 and April 21, respectively. Chaos had no logline attached — though the title leaves little to the imagination, as to the film’s subject. The film is directed by Academy Award winner Errol Morris (The Thin Blue Line), who also produced alongside Robert Fernandez and Steven Hathaway.
Meanwhile, Pangolin: Kulu’s Journey is said to tell the story of a man who finds new purpose when he helps rescue a baby pangolin, one of the most trafficked animals in the world, in a sting operation in South Africa. As the doc’s subject leaves the city, he embarks on a heartfelt mission to rehabilitate and prepare the vulnerable animal for a life of freedom in the wild. That doc is from Pippa Ehrlich, one of the Academy Award winners behind My Octopus Teacher, who directed and produced alongside George Chignell, Jessica Grimshaw, and Nick Shumaker. Craig Foster, Swati Thiyagarajan and David Levine served as executive producers. Check out a first look still from the project below.

Netflix also shared first-look images (view them above and below) for Air Force Elite, which is premiering this year at a date not yet disclosed. The film offers viewers a chance to step inside the cockpit with the U.S. Air Force’s legendary flight squadron, The Thunderbirds, and witness the unprecedented training, peril, and personal sacrifice it takes to push the limits of aviation as a member of one America’s most revered demonstration teams. Hailing from Higher Ground Productions, Blue Ox Films, and Supper Club, the doc is directed by Matt Wilcox.
A Story Syndicate production in association with Diamond Docs, Titan examines the Titan submersible’s ill-fated journey to the ruins of the Titanic that dominated headlines in June 2023. Directed by Mark Monroe, the documentary examines OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, his quest to become the next billionaire innovator, and the doomed underwater endeavor that forced the world to reconsider the price of ambition in the depths of the ocean. Monroe, Jon Bardin and Lily Garrison produced the pic, which is slated to premiere over the summer, with Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus, Kate Barry, Tommy Coriale, Mala Chapple, Amy Herdy, and Jude Prest exec producing.
Netflix’s documentary announcements were a few of the many to come out of this morning’s promotional event, Next on Netflix. Today, the streamer also announced Eddie, a new feature doc on actor and comedian Eddie Murphy from director Angus Wall, which is set to premiere this year.
