A NEPO-BABY with a famous boyband dad is set to show off own vocal talent on the new series of American Idol.
The country singer, who often posts images showing him playing his guitar to his Instagram page, will no doubt be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the chart icon.
Baylee Littrell – son of the Backstreet Boys singer Brian Littrell, 49 – will show off his skills to the reality TV show panel when the programme returns next month.
The 22-year-old has previously toured with the I Want It That Way hitmakers and has his dad’s handsome looks, with blonde curly hair and a chiselled jawline.
He teased his upcoming telly stint on social media and wrote: “Well guys, recently I had the opportunity to audition for @americanidol.
“Tune in to see the season premiere and what happens on 3/9/25!”
Proud dad Brian shared his excitement about his son’s success in the comments, writing: “Bubba I can’t wait!!!!!
“Good Luck we’re all counting on you hahaha.”
Brian recently opened up on his son’s work ethic and told Today.com: “He was just texting me last night, going, ‘Dad, dude, how do you do this? Like, it’s hard work.’
“He’s been busting his butt, and I’m super proud of him. He kind of gets a new sense of reality of what this is.”
The pair have even collaborated on track Come Kiss Me.
Recently, fans discussed if the Boxes singer had benefitted from his nepo-baby status and father’s status.
One music-lover wrote on Reddit: “Do you believe Baylee Littrell being the son of a BSB is preventing him from getting a record deal?
“He does acknowledge that being a son of a BSB has gotten him through some doors.
“I personally believe his vocals and songs are simply not good enough and has not displayed the talent. Being a son of a BSB basically ensures his talent would not go unnoticed if it was there.”
Another said of the singer, who has a host of singles on Spotify: “Looks just like Brian.
“I don’t like country music so when he opened the show I went to three years ago, I tuned him out. So I don’t recall how much talent he actually has.”
Another then quizzed of the Gone singer: “Why would it prevent him? If anything, wouldn’t it help ?Wouldn’t he want a record deal?”
One fan then added: “I would think that having Brian as his father would work in his favour, seeing as he’s had a very successful career with BSB.
“I would think that would look good.”
