A NEPO-BABY with A-List parents has blasted “mean girl” trolling online as well as calling out a slew of “crazy conspiracy theories.”
The media personality, actress and singer-songwriter, now 20, has spoke out to address recent remarks, which she described as “really upsetting.”
Apple Martin is the daughter of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 48, and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, 52.
She has previously shown she has a talent for music just like her dad, after helping to write Coldplay’s album Music of the Spheres last year.
Yet after her appearance at Paris Fashion Week, and being labeled a “mean girl” during a photo opportunity at the elite Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, she has spoken out.
At the invite-only bash, the nepo-baby was accused of “stealing the spotlight” from another attendee.
Apple was accompanied by her parents at the event, yet after a clip circulated on TikTok, a source close to Goop founder Gwyneth told it had been taken out of context.
She has now admitted to Interview Magazine she avoids looking at social media comments “like the plague.”
Without talking about the TikTok backlash directly she blasted “crazy conspiracy theories.”
She addressed her Paris Fashion Week debut in 2023 and said: “After the Chanel show, I did [read upsetting comments].
“Then I quickly realized why everybody has always said, ‘Don’t do it.’
“Because even if you see a million positive things, there can be one thing that absolutely wrecks you.”
She added: “So, I’ve stopped now and I avoid it like the plague, because I know myself and I know that if I see stuff that isn’t true and that’s really upsetting to me, I’m going to be like, ‘Oh my god, I should never go out in public again.’
“I’ve tried to be like, ‘People are going to say stuff, and that’s okay.
“And like everybody, there’s going to be stuff that isn’t true and stuff that is upsetting, and all I can do is just be the best that I can be and be with the people I love and not read random, crazy conspiracies.”
NEPO BABIES
Last year, Shallow Hal actress Gwyneth posed with her two kids as fans gushed how they were “so grown up.”
“Easter Weekend in Nashville,” Gwyneth captioned her post with a bunny and heart emojis.
Gwyneth, is also mom to Apple’s brother Moses, aged 18.
“They both look so much like Chris, someone else observed, while others noted that the teens looked “so grown up.”
Fans also previously gushed over Apple’s uncanny resemblance to her famous mom last July.
It happened after the pair attended an event hosted by Goop, Gucci, and Elizabeth Saltzman in the Hamptons, New York.
The mom of two wore a floral-print dress with white high heels, while her daughter wore a black mini dress and matching heels.
In 2022, fans again commented on Apple and Moses’ grown appearance when Gwyneth featured a photo of them in a newsletter.
“Wow… they grew up so handsome and beautiful,” one fan wrote online.
BLENDED FAMILY
Gwyneth split from her children’s father, Chris, in March 2014, famously calling the break-up “consciously uncoupling.”
The Academy Award winner went on to marry actor, writer, and producer Brad Falchuk, 53, in a gorgeous ceremony in The Hamptons in 2018.
Meanwhile, Chris moved on with actress Dakota Johnson, 34, sometime in 2017 and is rumored to have secretly gotten engaged.
Regarding her journey in motherhood, Gwyneth previously told CBS Sunday Morning: “I remember the morning my daughter Apple came into the world. I felt this incredible rush of love.
“It was so shocking that I asked my mother, ‘Do you love me this much?’ It reframed completely how I saw motherhood.”
The Avengers actress shared her struggles with postpartum depression as well.
“When my son Moses was born two years later, I expected to follow the same emotional template but for the first several months…I experienced postpartum depression.
“I was overwhelmed by all of the feelings, most acutely shame.”
