Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts have confirmed the Love Earth World Tour. News of the extensive run of international dates and home turf appearances arrives after the group’s namesake teased the potential to hit the road on his neilyoungarchives.com on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Last week’s message to fans upheld Young’s notoriously politically activated approach, “Today’s news is that we are all getting over saturated. Politics and our way of life are under attack from within our own country. We must react. We must show who we are.”

“This is what the Spring and Summer of Democracy is all about,” Young added, fixing an initial timeline to his message of intent: “When we hit the road, news of abandoned ideals and changing values will be in the crowd. The music will reflect the feelings of the times. We will be there for you.”

In Young’s follow-up, confirming the impending tour, he retitled the concert series Love Earth–the lead single off his 2022 LP, World Record, an anthem for the planet and all its natural wonders, and the same title used during his 2024 summer run, which was ultimately canceled due to illness.

Young and his Chrome Hearts Band, Spooner Oldham (Farfisa organ), Micah Nelson (guitar and vocal), Corey McCormick (bass and vocal), and Anthony LoGerfo (drums), will commence the newly announced tour with a series of European gigs, beginning on June 18 at  Rättvik, Sweden’s Dalhalla venue.

After night one, the band will continue to spread peace, love, and appreciation for the environment in Bergen, Norway (June 20), before following up in Copenhagen, Denmark (June 22). Next, the European leg of the Love Earth tour arrives in Dublin (June 26), ahead of gigs in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.

A month later, on August 8, the tour will return to the US, starting at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, N.C. The band will then perform in Richmond, Va., for a concert at Allianz Amphitheater on August 10. They will continue with stops in Detroit (Aug. 13) and Cleveland (Aug. 15) before a special hometown return on August 17 to Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.

A series of Northeast dates ensue, taking the band to Gilford, N.H. (Aug. 21), New York’s Northwell at Jones Beach (Aug. 23), and the historical ground of Woodstock via Bethel Center for the Arts (Aug. 24).

On Aug. 27, Young and company will play at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago, followed by Denver’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. Afterward, the band will initiate a series of West Coast concerts, beginning on September 5 at The Gorge.

They will turn up in Vancouver, B.C., to play at Deer Lake Park (Sept. 6) before dropping down to Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, Ore. The final concerts will be held in California on Sept. 12 at Shoreline Amphitheater and on Sept. 15 at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.

According to Young’s official press release, their latest single, “big change,” reflects the band’s initial introduction and the message they hope to convey on the road. Read more and listen here

Young’s ability to comment on the current state of affairs has been a cornerstone of his musical career, going back to his 1970s response piece to the Kent State massacre, “Ohio,” and fellow protest anthems like “Southern Man,” which examines racism and the US’s use of slavery, “Love Earth” a call for environmental dispatch to care for the planet, and countless others that uphold the artist’s liberal philosophy, and this tour’s namesake.

Tickets are available beginning tomorrow, February 25, via an exclusive, 48-hour presale for Neil Young Archives members. General on-sale begins Friday, February 28. Click here for tickets and see the full list of dates below.
