My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats have teamed up and announced a two-night event, which will stream on nugs.net and benefit HeadCount, known for embracing the power of music while encouraging folks to register to vote and support democracy. Slated to occur on Sept. 18 and 19 at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tenn., the event is among the aforementioned bands’ Eye To Eye Tour 2024, functioning like a pit stop with added meaning–a fusion of song and non-partisan intent to get the public out to vote.
The concert dates in Nashville represent the continuation of My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats’ joint Eye To Eye Tour, a co-headline run that will see both bands perform equal-length sets and swap performance orders with each show. Notably, this tour is slated to pick up tonight, Sept. 10, at Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park in Wilmington, N.C. Follow-up gigs are scheduled throughout the Southern region of the US, ultimately culminating in a close on Sept. 28, after a concert at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, N.C.
As a thoughtful feature of My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats’ Eye To Eye Tour has teamed up with REVERB to reduce their environmental impact on the road in acknowledgment of the current and ongoing global climate crisis. For more, visit reverb.org.
For those unable to attend the impending Nashville concerts in person, a single-night livestream and discounted two-night bundle will be offered. Net proceeds from these livestreams will benefit HeadCount. Pro-shot video will be available at nugs.net/headcount in 4K or HD, and fans can watch live or on-demand on nugs.net with unlimited access through Sept. 29, with an additional 48 hours of on-demand replay after starting playback.
