MrBeast shared multiple changes that he wants to make to Beast Games despite the massive success of the show’s first season.
After months of hyping it up, MrBeast’s Amazon Prime Video series Beast Games launched in December 2024.
It became Amazon’s most-watched series as fans immediately fell in love with the show, although the critics on Rotten Tomatoes didn’t share the same sentiment.
Now that the contest has ended and its $10M grand prize was awarded, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has revealed a few changes he would have made to the show to make it more “cutthroat” throughout the series.
MrBeast would have eliminated more people sooner
During an interview with YouTuber Jon Youshaei and the top 10 Beast Games contestants, MrBeast was asked what the “biggest thing” he learned while filming the show was.
“Everyone got to know the top 10 or 20, but you don’t know too many people after the first two episodes so to be honest, in the future, I’m probably going to be way more cutthroat,” he said. “Instead of eliminating 500, we should eliminate like 800 at the start to get the numbers down.”
“It sucks because most people would show up and then get instantly cut, but I think that would be better for character building.”

During one of the series’ first challenges, MrBeast had people take bribes to eliminate themselves and the people standing around them – something that he would modify if given a do-over.
“When we had people take bribes on episode one, they also got out. I think it would have been way better if the person who pressed it didn’t get eliminated,” he said.
Beast Games’ success has led to Amazon confirming Season 2 of the series with a $15M prize pool available to selected contestants. It’s unknown what type of challenges we’ll see in the next set of episodes, but it’s clear that Donaldson wants to make some massive changes.
