YOUTUBE juggernaut MrBeast has been busy turning his hometown into a personalized playground with a secret studio and crazy obstacle course used for his massively popular videos.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is the most subscribed YouTuber on the platform yet remains secretive about where he films content for the channel.
He made headlines late last year after transforming Greenville, North Carolina into his own production studio with residents calling it “Beastville.”
Donaldson now owns an entire cul-de-sac where his friends and employees live.
Photos taken exclusively by The U.S. Sun show part of the creator’s compound, including an obstacle course.
The course was recently seen in a video for the channel AMP titled, AMP Extreme Wipeout with MrBeast.
It appeared in another video with Donaldson calling it the “world’s deadliest obstacle course.”
The course is usually filled with water when used for one of Donaldson’s many online antics.
However, when not in use, the course is covered with a tarp, and the many obstacles, including a spinning top and swing rope, are nowhere to be seen.
Also missing are the massive lights Donaldson and his team use when filming at night.
Neither Donaldson nor his team appeared to be outside when The U.S. Sun took photos, however, several cars were seen outside of a warehouse.
One of the cars was a blue luxury car, which may belong to Donaldson, who is no stranger to lavish purchases.
Donaldson used to have a penchant for nice cars, owning a BMW i8 a few years ago before selling it “because I don’t like people stalking me,” he said on X.
He also used to own a $2.5 million private jet before giving it away in one of his videos.
However, many of Donaldson’s craziest purchases are made for content.
Several warehouse-looking buildings were found in the small neighborhood but it’s unclear if any of them were the one he used to recreate Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

He and his friends participate in extreme challenges and competitions, however, he is also a major philanthropist.
Donaldson is often seen giving away massive prizes such as homes, cars, and even a private island.
Through his dedicated fanbase, Donaldson has collaborated with some of the biggest names on the platform such as Logan Paul, Bella Poarch, and KSI.
He posted his first video in 2012 when he was 13 years old under the name MrBeast6000.
At the time, Donaldson shared short videos of him playing Minecraft but now performs in challenges such as staying in a cave for a week or living in a nuclear bunker for 100 days.
Donaldson achieved the milestone of most-subscribed YouTuber in June 2024, stating that he “avenged” PewDiePie, who held the record for several years before losing to Bollywood music label T-Series in 2019.
“After six years we have finally avenged Pewdiepie,” wrote on X.
The factory had several rooms inspired by the book, including a chocolate river and marshmallow-themed room.
DOMAIN EXPANSION
Donaldson has quietly bought more land in his apparent takeover of Greenville.
The college town with a population of roughly 89,000 was mostly full of manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies before Donaldson and his crew became a fixture.
Now, residents are used to seeing luxury cars in the streets and the fire department has issued several warnings for public noise ahead of the YouTuber’s stunts.
East Carolina University has also collaborated with the star on an online content creator program.
Donaldson purchased a 50,000-square-foot warehouse called Studio C in 2021, where he and his team built fantastical sets for his channel.
Outside the $14 million facility, Creative Grid LLC, the entity Donaldson used to purchase the warehouse, also bought a 28-acre field outside the building.
Nothing on the outside indicates that the facility belongs to MrBeast, only signs warning passersby that they’re on private property protected with video surveillance.
Donaldson bought even more land in 2023, according to country property records.
Creative Grid snagged 95 more acres, which was sold by the Greenville Eastern North Carolina Alliance.
It’s unclear what Donaldson intends to use with the land, however, he has stated in previous interviews that he has no interest in moving to major cities.
Nearly every job position to work under the MrBeast name is based in Greenville, according to the company’s website.
The few exceptions are remote positions to help with localization to create dubbed content for the channel.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Donaldson for comment.
