Continuing its recent spate of announcements cementing leadership positions across all facets of AMPAS, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Thursday revealed its newly elected 2024-2025 Academy Foundation board members and officers. Those elected include AMPAS officers president Janet Yang and vice president Donna Gigliotti. Howard Berger has been named president of the foundation.
The Academy Foundation oversees all educational, preservation and cultural activities of the Academy, including the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library, the Academy Film Archive, the Academy Collection and the Academy’s talent development programs.
The board comprises nine trustees, all of whom are members of the Academy Board of Governors.
Elected to board officer positions are:
Howard Berger (Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Branch), President
Brooke Breton (Visual Effects Branch), Vice President
Donna Gigliotti (Executives Branch), Treasurer
Kim Taylor-Coleman (Casting Directors Branch), Vice President
Marlon West (Animation Branch), Secretary
Additional board members include:
Jason Reitman (Directors Branch)
Stephen Rivkin (Film Editors Branch)
Dana Stevens (Writers Branch)
Janet Yang (Producers Branch)

Academy Foundation board members and officers serve one-year terms. As representatives of the board, Berger, Gigliotti and Yang also serve on the Academy Museum Board of Trustees for one-year terms.
