Passers-by stepped in to try and separate him from a lad who was also pulled away by a pal.

LaBeouf is in the city while his actress wife Mia Goth, 30, shoots a new Frankenstein film.

He was captured in the 37-second clip raging against the group outside the OX184 bar earlier this week.

A bar worker says they spotted the actor drinking in Whistlebinkies pub the night before trouble flared just yards away.

He said: They said: “He was in there on the Friday.

“He was nothing but nice to people in there.

“Everyone said he was nothing but lovely.

“Apparently the stuff that happened in the video was the day after.

“I knew something had kicked off, but something kicks off in the Cowgate every day.”

Director Guillermo del Toro’s monster movie is being filmed in the capital.

LaBeouf was spotted leaving Greek restaurant Elia in Glasgow and dining at Italian spot Banca di Roma with his partner and kids last month when scenes were being shot at the city’s Cathedral.

He shot to fame as a child star in Disney Channel sitcom Even Stevens before landing parts in the Transformers series, tennis flick Borg vs McEnroe and The Peanut Butter Falcon.

Goth’s Frankenstein co-star Christoph Waltz, 67, was seen cheering on Celtic at the Old Firm clash at Parkhead last weekend.

Director del Toro, 59, has also been seen across the country as filming gets underway for the big budget horror slated for release next year.

LaBeouf was approached for comment.
