MoistCr1TiKal shocked after finding fake Instagram page scamming fans

YouTube star Charlie ‘MoistCr1TiKal’ White was shocked after finding a fake Instagram page using his name that was scamming fans out of subscription money.

Charlie was streaming and talking to his fans when he found out about the Instagram pages.

“Does Instagram pay well?” he said, reading off a message in chat. “I noticed you have some subscriptions set up.”

However, Moist quickly revealed that he doesn’t have subscriptions set up on Instagram and had the fan link him to the page he was talking about.

“The f**k I do, what are you talking about ‘Got subscriptions set up’?” he said. “No, I do not. Where are you seeing that?”

After another chatter mentioned that the fan might be following a scam account, Moist had him link to the page in question. “What’s the name of the account you’re following?” he asked.

“False alarm,” said the chatter, prompting Charlie to reply: “Yeah, f**kin thought so. We’d have a problem if [subs were on my page]. Wait, we still have a problem. Are those fake pages setting up subscription tiers?

The YouTuber went on to explain that he doesn’t mind fake pages that just repost his content online, but scamming fans out of subscription money isn’t acceptable.

“If they’re making subscription tiers and sh*t, then that’s a problem,” he said. “That’s not going to fly. I’m definitely going to take that down. I hate doing that, though. I don’t care if it exists, I really don’t give a sh*t, but if you’re going to try to deceive people into subscribing for money… that’s a problem.”

MoistCr1TiKal isn’t the first content creator to call out fake social media profiles, either. Back when Haliey Welch, also known as the Hawk Tuah girl, first spoke out following her viral moment, she called out all the “creepy” fake pages pretending to be her.
