MoistCr1tikal says his viral “Saying Goodbye” video was meaningless

One day after releasing a video announcing a ‘Season 2’ of his YouTube channel where he would be replaced by T-Pain, MoistCr1tikal has since come out and said that the whole thing was meaningless.

On February 22, MoistCr1tikal, also known as Penguinz0 or simply “Charlie”, released a YouTube video called “Saying Goodbye”. In the video, he said that it’s time he stepped away from content creation as a whole.

“18 years ago I began this journey on YouTube. Over half my life I’ve spent making silly sh*t online, and I’ve loved every second of it and I can only hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have. But it’s time I step away. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because Season 2 is going to be even better. I’m leaving you all in great hands. That’s about it, see ya,” Moist said.

Following that, the cast for “Season 2” of his YouTube channel was revealed by Ray William Johnson, a YouTuber who’s certainly been around the block. The most notable cast member was rapper T-Pain, who was said to be replacing Charlie.

While many knew that this was all in good fun, lots were still curious about the point of the video and whether it would actually lead to anything. The most popular theory among fans was that he was going on a short vacation. Now, however, Moist has debunked all the theories, admitting it was all just a bit of fun.

Moist says there was no reason for “Saying Goodbye” video

Only one video was released on Charlie’s YouTube channel where T-Pain actually took Charlie’s place. After that, the YouTuber released a video talking about the point of all of it, or the lack thereof.

“Well, what was this journey we went on, and what does it all mean? So I’ll do my best to break it down for you. Just like getting an ‘I love you’ from a stripper, it was meaningless.” he said.

“I saw a lot of people theorizing that all of this was just, you know, fun, but it was because I was going on vacation…no, not the case. There really was no reason for it at all.”

So there you have it, just a bit of fun from Moist and his pals to essentially troll the YouTube community. Nothing more than that.

While this production was no doubt a costly endeavor, it wouldn’t come close to the staggering amount of money Charlie has lost in his esports ventures.
